The Washtenaw County Internet Safety Task Force had our monthly meeting today. We have been meeting for the past six months, and I am completely humbled by the expertise in this group. Two members, Judge Kirk Tabbey and Professor Patrick Corbett, helped write the cyber crime laws for the State of Michigan, and our first private partner to work with us is Google.
Our mission is to “Empower community members through awareness and education to use the Internet and its related technology safely and securely.”
October is National Cyber Security Month, and we will be hosting an event on October 6th at 8am. Save the date!
